EvTrack, AXIS and Honeywell, three great products working in unison to provide combined access control and visitor management. Today we highlight a new EvTrack case study. The M5 freeway park is a commercial estate in Cape Town and comprises 60 units with a vehicle entrance/exit equipped with centurion motorized vehicle barriers. The requirement was for a solution to handle visitor and vehicle access control.

With Evtrack, the access control at M5 is portable, tenants can be registered through a web link and the database server sits securely in the cloud. Visitors are scanned in by a Honeywell rugged computer which captures visitor ID, drivers license or passport and vehicle details can be captured by LPR or via a license disc scan. Visitors can also be registered by the tenant and access granted by a QR code sent by email or SMS.

Remotes have been removed from the guards and open signals are sent by EvTrack to an Axis A9188 IP I/O control board which opens the vehicle booms
